Who Can Apply for FSSAI Modification?

Points to be Remembered

As per FSSAI regulations, Food Business Operators (FBOs) can select only one modification category at a time during the license modification process.

For adding a new business, change of business address, change in contact details, or change in the product category – an FBO is requisite to file for FSSAI License Modification

The FSSAI Designated Officer (D.O.) is responsible for reviewing the Modification Application and may request clarifications from the FBO. Any queries must be addressed by the FBO within 30 days.

Food manufacturers or processors who have obtained a food license under the incorrect category are required to modify their license to ensure compliance with the correct classification.
